Anyone, anybody at all know the answer to this?... Come on people, everybody in this room is attuned to an element and yet none of you know how it happens.
Fine, I guess I better do my job and teach you then, a person can have a natural affinity to a type of mana, if this happens then that type of mana is naturally drawn towards you. Now you become attuned to this mana once your body is able to process this mana and store it as its own.
People that aren't fortunate enough to have a natural affinity to a type of mana can become attuned through other means. One example is that you may be lucky enough that your body just randomly starts to process and store mana. Another way is through special medicines and items that will temporarily draw certain types of mana to you to increase your chance of being attuned to it. And the most rare case of all, you find an area that has a natural higher density of a type of mana, by finding a place like this your body is exposed to that mana in a larger quant.i.ty than usual which then increases chances of attunement.
Now seeing that you didn't know that basic fact, I'm going to be adding another a.s.signment on top of your other a.s.signment. I want you to research your family tree and see if you have a natural affinity and if so what element, and if you don't have a natural affinity I want you find out what way you were able to gain an attunement.
That will be all, cla.s.s dismissed"

Qu opened her eyes, her body ached and her muscles were stiff, but she was alive. Somehow she had survived despite the fact her last memory was her health hitting 0.
She sat up and looked apon the remains of the restaurant, bricks littered the floor and gla.s.s had been flung everywhere. But the restaurant itself was gone, all that was left was a ditch and blackened earth.
But the weirdest thing of all was that the area had an oddly dense amount of lightning mana. The air itself was practically sparking with electricity, and worst yet the mana didn't seem to be dissipating back to other types, the whole area was just ridden with the stuff.
She walked towards the ditch, her body groaned as she walked, each step feeling like an achievement in itself. Then she found the charred remains of Dilon Fus, it seemed his magic tried to take the damage for recoil but it was too much for his body, but due to him absorbing some of the damage his body was at least somewhat in tact.
She pushed her hand up against his chest and watched as her hand morphed back into grey ooze and engulfed the entire body, the moment this was done the ooze snapped back into place and her hand was back.

"Gained 1 new evolution point"

To be honest Qu had completely forgotten about her evolution points and her ability to combine creatures. She would definitely have to try and make some new creatures at some point.

"Your contract with Para Cantorp has been fulfilled"
----
Now that heavy weight had been lifted off of her chest she could finally go back to working on requests and work on her goal to get stronger. That was until she transformed back into her fire elemental human form, when she did so a small piece of paper floated out of her. This piece of paper was most likely stuck between a piece of her chitin, and on this paper was a message from Para. He wanted to see her as soon as she woke up.
But Qu still had some matters to attend to, so Para would just have to wait. She then stepped back into the remains of the restaurant to try and find out what exactly she did.
----
"While you've been walking around and generally doing nothing, I figured out what exactly you did...
So you know from ages ago, when you got a lightning core, well it turned out that was a physical item and not some loose mana you collected.
So in the heat of the battle it seemed you accidentality pulled that lightning core out of you and cracked it open, the release in dense mana created a deadly explosion.
But wait there's more, so congratulations you have a basic inventory, you should be bale to hold up to 10 medium sized items, such as swords, daggers or a set of clothes. I do believe that when you go into the next rank of power (rare) you should be able to hold more items.
But wait there's even more, due to you releasing an incredibly large amount of lightning mana, you have created a natural phenomenon, you have created a lightning mana dense area, this is predicted to exist for the next 10 years.
Now you may be asking what does this lightning mana dense area actually do, well I'll tell you, it increases the chances of you gaining a lightning mana attunement just by being in it.
So I'll give you some advice, stay here for a little bit and soak up some of this sweet, sweet lightning mana and hopefully you'll attune to it. And I suggest you do it now, because I can guarantee some rich magic people will soon be claiming this area for their own use."
----
On that note Qu then walked to the centre of where the explosion happened, where the mana was most dense and sat on the floor and allowed the mana in the area to flow through her. While she did this she also chose to try and use some fire magic. But what she soon realised was that it was much harder to use fire mana in an area mainly dominated by lightning mana, but luckily she could just manipulate the fire naturally produced on her body instead.
She soon got bored of playing with the fire on her body though as she couldn't really develop any spells with the fire on her body so it was kind of boring.
So she chose to do the next best thing, she pulled up her menu to look at some creatures she could create, and this time some of the options did look a lot more tasty, it seemed that Qu was going to go on a spending spree, and gain a lot more new forms.
