He glanced at her from the rearview mirror and smirked, a smirked that let your lungs on fire. It was hard to tell if it was directed at her or the caller.

Lei Xinyi couldn't stop the scoff that came from her. Li Yuan glared in her direction all signs of mirth gone.

Her curiosity skyrocketed with that. If the person was referring to her than the person was definitely someone she knew. And for a person to bring such a reaction from Li Yuan, he was instantly her favorite person.

Hanging up he threw the phone on the dashboard and ran his hand through his hair. He did this a lot when he was frustrated.
Her fingers were shaking by now. This Li Yuan was scary. She just realized she was far more braver when she was hot-headed than when she was level headed.
She was now conscious of the things she said as she was conscious of the throbbing wound on her back.

"Somewhere." He muttered and turned to the small cabinet and took out a bottle of medicines.
He took out a tablet broke it into two and handed it to her with a bottle of water, "Eat up?′
Lei Xinyi glanced at his extended hand then at him specifically, "What is it and why should I eat it?"
G.o.d knows what he was feeding her. Poisoning her or knocking even wasn't beyond him so hesitation was contemplative.
Li Yaun furrowed at her, "It's pain killer. It will relieve you of the headache."
It was suspicious, the time and situation were too coincidental.
it was definitely not a headache tablet and just by looking at it she could also tell it wasn't poisonous but it wasn't something she identified so she was wary.
"But I don't have a headache..."
Li Yaun's eyes narrowed further, "Eat up, Xinyi!"
There was no way she could convince him otherwise when he was this consistent. He couldn't really kill her or harm her when she had informed the Lu's about her whereabouts.
