“Monster evolution? Black weaver?” Dean was a little confused. Black Weaver was one of the ten rare monsters. The magic mark Glenn owned was the Black Weaver, good at hiding. And the gossamer was extremely sticky. It could span any territories,  and good at trapping the enemies, remote control and also close a.s.sa.s.sinating. An overall magic mark.

But according to the pamphlet of the legendary monsters he had ever seen before, Dream Conceiver only had one kind of super power, that was to benumb the enemy’s nerves to create illusions. Except that, it was no difference from any other legendary monsters.

“That is to say, once the magic mark is evolved, the power will be at a different level accordingly.” Dean’s eyes shone and then kept browsing. It was enumerated other legendary monsters’ primary shapes before their evolution. Haisha’s magic mark Evil Dragon Rider was evolved from Steel Dragon, while Shadow Hunter was evolved from the rare monster Color Illusioner.

As for his own magic mark Splitter, it was evolved from b.l.o.o.d.y Edge.

b.l.o.o.d.y Edge was only a kind of ordinary rare monsters, with single attacking way but destructive power, which was quite like the Splitter.

“Monster evolution requires strict conditions, and has an extremely low success ratio. Only after the monster grows mature could it have a slice chance to evolve. But some monsters would have mutations at maturation period or even at juvenile period, and evolve to a new species. A lot of researchers have worked on it for years but still got no answer…”

“But, according to the date statistics, the evolution probability of the monsters having evolved to the complete body was ten thousandth, while the probability of evolution at other stages only happens once in a few hundred years.”

As Dean kept on reading, he felt more and more confused, thinking, “Since the evolution possibility of the monsters is so low, does it mean only one out of tens of thousands of Black Weavers could evolve?”

No wonder! Despite the way of evolution, Dream Conceiver could still be rendered as the extremely rare legendary monster.

But even among the Dragon Clan, such a big clan, it was not easy to find a hundred Black Weavers, let alone ten thousand!

On thinking of this, that slice of hope was totally gone. And he kept on browsing randomly.

“I have ever interviewed a master called Puss on monster studies. He said he has found the method of improving the monster evolution ratio after thousands of times’ experiments. That is to feed the monsters with Holy Worm Powder. The more they eat it, the higher ratio.”

“Of course, monsters have natural fear of Holy Worm Powder. So it is very difficult to feed them. We can only knock it out, squeeze it into its stomach. After two years’ feeding, Master Puss has successfully made a Bloodthirster (ordinary monster) evolve to a Parasitic Bloodthirster (rare monster).”

Dean lost in a trance. Holy Worm Powder?

“According to Master Puss, there are a lot of methods out there to improve the evolution probability. During his experimenting process, a lot of stuff could help improve the evolution ratio, but only with obvious effects…”

Dean kept scrolling…

Soon he saw the key content mentioned at the beginning—magic mark evolution.

“The possibility of the magic mark evolution is even lower than monster evolution, and the factors affecting this process are more complicated. Some people’s magic mark would evolve due to over excitement, some people’s magic mark would evolve due to eating some unknown plants by mistake…

“…Master Puss has ever fed a Hunter the Holy Worm Powder. But the Hunter got choked to death the moment it took the first bite. And then he has experimented on over thirty Hunters owning different magic marks, it has all turned out the same. And Master Puss could only try another way…”

“…After repeated attempts, the most effective method of improving the ratio of the magic mark evolution is to feed on the legendary parasitic soul worms.

Soon Dean came to the end of the book. But when he read the conclusion, he had the spur of rolling his eyes. As expected, this book sucked, typical t.i.tle attractor. It was great in the beginning, and made one want to read. But after all kinds of a.n.a.lysis, deduction, in the end, nothing was there at all.

Using legendary parasitic soul worm as magic mark nutrients, this was not luxurious, but crazy!

And, from this point of view, only one legendary magic mark as nutrient was far from enough, but the more of them, the more likely! To put it more bluntly, the more offered, the more likely the probability would increase, but it would probably not have a change at all!

Only fools would take the extremely rare legendary magic mark as nutrition. And even such a fool did exist, there wouldn’t be so many legendary magic marks.

Moreover, he wondered if the so-called Master Puss had ever tried it himself.

"It was really a waste of time." Dean felt really speechless. After putting it back on the shelf, he walked away, and kept on thinking how to sneak away.

Two days went by.

For these two days, Dean had stayed in the steepletop building all the time. Everything was dead calm, nothing happened. And Hathaway, who he was afraid of, seemed to have totally ignored his presence.

Moreover, he had heard from Eureka that Hathaway and Haisha had only met once in these two days and had not even spoken to each other. And Hathaway, as he said, was humble when she met her sister, not as aggressive as she used to be. It seemed like she had switched a totally different person.

Those days when he and Haisha had been together in the deserted area, he heard about her relations.h.i.+p with Hathaway, and why she yielded to her sister. Was it possible Hathaway had known her idea and changed?

So she didn't seek trouble for him?

Dean had some doubts in his heart, but now he had no time for these. After all, it was not a bad thing to prepare for the worst to come. Anyway, one wrong step could end his life. So he shouldn’t be so optimistic.

From what he had known about Hathaway, it was not only because of jealousy and hatred, but also about the controlling desire of power.

“Dean, Her Highness asks for your presence.” Eureka’s voice came from out of the building.

Dean heard of him while he was reading a book called Basic Combat Skills. Then he looked at the door, finding Eureka was waving his hand at him. He immediately walked to him and asked, “Is it Haisha?”

“Mm.” Euraka nodded slightly. Then he gazed at Dean’s casual robe and said, “You better change your armor. We’ll possibly go to the fortress because we found the traces of  Executioners.”
